Opening a new store in a small town was a big deal. It was a small place after all. But Brian Rusk didn't seem to care as much about it as the others. Brian's mother was interested in this new store, but Brian didn't seem to care. Brian had heard talk about this upcoming store in the teachers' room at school. A week had passed and the wording of the sign on the door had been changed. The opening date was written on the door. The name of the shop, "Necessary Things," caught Brian's attention. What does that mean, Brian thought.

It had been 2 days since the store had opened, and Brian thought as he passed by the store, what would happen if I walked in. After all, it was written open on the shop. He approached the shop and glanced inside, but there was no one inside. He put his hand on the doorknob of the shop. And the door was open. When he entered the shop, it was not completely dark inside. There was dim light. He looked in the windows and saw that there were a few items. Brian thought it was a mistake. Because the man saw that he did not bring all the goods he was supposed to sell. Or so Brian thought. He thought they had accidentally placed the open sign on the door. He thought he had to get out of the store and go home, but he didn't want to leave the store. Brian wasn't sure what the items in the shop were. He was still standing in front of the door. He had only looked through the door. Maybe he calls out "Is there anyone" in the shop because there was someone inside.

Then a voice comes from the back. Because I exist. The child is afraid at first. Later, when the light from the projector reflects on the man's face, he sees that he is an old man and the boy relaxes a little. Brian tells him that the shop is open because he entered because it was open. The old man says that he opened the shop for a few hours, it was like a rehearsal. He met the old man, Brian. He learned that the man's name, the owner of the shop, was Leland Gaunt. She loved the man. He had warmed up to this old man. Mr. Gaunt tells Brian to tour the shop and he can buy anything he likes very cheaply. But Brian says that he will get his pocket money on Friday and he can't buy anything right now. Mr. Gaunt asks Brian that it's okay, he just takes a tour of the shop and comments.

After a while, the shop was fully opened. The customer who came to the store saw the Fox tail and wanted to buy it. When the customer asked how much it cost, Mr. Gaunt, the owner of the shop, replied that it depends on the situation. The man in front of him was surprised. Depends on what situation? “What situation?” he replied. Mr. Gaunt told the man to empty his pockets. The man emptied everything in his pocket onto the glass showcase. Mr. Gaunt approached, looked at the items he had pulled out of his pocket, and ran the quill brush over the items. Only a dollar and a half of the items the man had placed on the glass case had disappeared. Mr. Gaunt took the foxtail out of the window and brought it to the man. When the customer reached the queue, the owner said stop. The customer had immediately withdrawn his hand from the queue and it was clear that he had not expected this reaction. The shopkeeper said he hadn't bargained yet. The customer replied that he was correct. When the customer reached back for his wallet, Mr. Gaunt, the owner of the shop, said that he did not understand why most people found the solution in their wallet. The customer was taken aback, as if he was hypnotized, as if he was doing whatever the owner said. Then the owner of the shop asked the customer what should I do with your soul? If it's the customer, you probably can't do anything. My soul has said that lately you are not in a good state. Then the owner of the shop, Mr. Gaunt, asked if he knew a woman in town named Nettie Cobb. The man replied by saying that there is no one who does not know Dei Nettie. The shopkeeper, Mr. Gaunt, asked the man to play a harmless prank on that woman. He said he would pay the rest of the payment this way.

In this shop, your secret desires, aspects of your personality that you never knew, spiritual objects that adorned your dreams and even that you could not have throughout your life were sold. And the payment consisted of two parts. The first part was money, the second part was to play a harmless joke on one of the inhabitants of the city.
